Neural universe
A living 3D brain: two hemispheres of neurons wired to their neighbours, with spikes propagating along synapses in real time — drag to rotate, tap to stimulateRendered from arithmetic on a plain canvas — no WebGL, no library, no network. The firing model is a simple integrate-and-fire with a refractory period: it is an illustration of how signals cascade through a network, not a neuroscience claim. Stochastic labelling borrows a real lab technique (fly-brain MCFO, Brainbow): give a random few percent of cells a colour of their own so single neurons and their synaptic trees stand out from the crowd.

Reduced motion is on, so auto-rotation is off — drag to turn the network yourself.
